Yeomans Volkswagen are recruiting for the role of Local Business Development Manager to promote and sell the Volkswagen passenger car and commercial vehicle range based at our fantastic Volkswagen facility in Indian Queens Cornwall. This role requires a strong local knowledge of Cornwall and Devon and therefore it is vital that the candidate resides in or around Cornwall or the Devon border.
Whilst a very good level of support is offered both by the Yeomans Group Fleet team and Volkswagen UK with regular coaching and training, you will be given the autonomy to grow your local market.
- Identify and approach new business clients through targeted prospecting, networking, and direct marketing campaigns to grow the local fleet & business market.
- Promote quarterly contract hire and leasing offers at every opportunity.
- Sales & Relationship Management: Manage the complete sales process from initial enquiry through to handover and subsequent follow up.
- Aftersales Promotion: Database & CRM Management: Grow a database ensuring accurate records of prospects and client interactions, utilizing CRM systems and manufacturer renewal programmes to track activity and opportunities.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with local businesses to ensure repeat business and high customer satisfaction.
- Compliance: Strict adherence to FCA regulations for finance/insurance products and manage data in accordance with GDPR.
Proven experience in business to business sales, ideally within the automotive or commercial vehicle sector. Strong understanding of the local business, SME, and fleet market. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office Suite. Driver's License: Full, clean, and valid driving license required for covering the territory.
