An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced MOT Tester to join our busy Skoda dealership in Bridgwater. The successful candidate must have an MOT licence to apply due to the nature of this role.
Main duties of the role will include servicing, diagnosis and repairs. We are looking for candidates with a passion for delivering the highest levels of customer service and the personality to develop and maintain long‑term customer relationships.
Key duties:
- Conduct full examinations of vehicles to MOT standards
- Work closely with the service team and ensure they are kept informed of the progress of work on customer vehicles and that they are fully briefed on work completed
- Discuss technical issues/works directly with customers when requested
- Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and efficient service to all workshop customers, personifying the brand
- Build and maintain a high level of technical competence
- Be open to trying new methods of work designed to improve efficiency
- Customer focused, able to keep customers experience and safety in mind throughout their visit
- Team Player – assist other technicians when workshop is under pressure, and take ownership of any safety issues you identify in the workshop
- Thorough and able to work with defined processes and guidelines
- Quality focused
Qualifications:
- MOT licence
- Possess good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to colleagues and customers accurately and concisely
- Passionate about the industry, and committed to the development of your technical knowledge and skills
- Honest with high levels of integrity, ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, have an eye for detail, be a team player, and have excellent communication skills, high customer service, and the ability to use their own initiative
