An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 Qualified Technician to join our new Omoda & Jaecoo dealership in Littlehampton. We are looking for candidates with a passion for delivering the highest levels of customer service through the quality of their work. Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous franchise dealer experience in a similar role, have an eye for detail and be a team player. Current MOT Licence would be a distinct advantage, although not essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out diagnostic investigative work to identify & rectify faults
- Carry out all make servicing to manufacturer standards
- Conduct full vehicle examinations to identify non-routine defects/faults
- Carry out Electronic Vehicle Health Checks and Video Health Checks
- Carry out vehicle road testing for diagnosis and to test repairs
- Work closely with Service Advisors ensuring they are kept informed of the progress of any work and fully briefed on work completed
- Ability to discuss technical issues directly with customers when required
- Obtain appropriate authorisation before completing any work
- Build and maintain a high level of technical competence for diagnosing and servicing vehicles and utilise regular training
Personal requirements:
- Possess good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to colleagues and customers in an accurate and concise manner
- Be passionate about the industry, and committed to the development of your own technical knowledge and skills
- Customer centricity is key; keep customer experience and safety in mind throughout the service, diagnosis and repair
- Be a team player - assist other technicians when the workshop is under pressure, and take ownership of any safety issues you identify in the workshop
- An eye for detail - thorough and able to work with defined processes and guidelines
- Quality focused with a βfirst time fixβ mentality
- Operate with integrity - Yeomans is built on trust
- Professionalism, self-motivation and good interpersonal skills are essential qualities, as is a full driving license.
