At Yeomans Honda Guildford we are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to join our friendly and busy team. The successful candidate will ideally have previous franchise dealer experience in a similar role, an MOT licence and Level 3 qualified. Within the centre, we utilise the latest diagnostic technology, tools and best practice processes so you can offer our customers the very best assistance with their service or repair. As part of your role you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, servicing and MOT testing of the full range of Honda vehicles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carry out diagnostic investigative work to identify & rectify faults
- Carry out all make servicing to manufacturer standards
- Conduct full vehicle examinations to identify non-routine defects/faults
- Carry out Electronic Vehicle Health Checks and Video Health Checks
- Carry out vehicle road testing for diagnosis and to test repairs
- Work closely with Service Advisors ensuring they are kept informed of the progress of any work and fully briefed on work completed
- Ability to discuss technical issues directly with customers when required
- Obtain appropriate authorisation before completing any work
- Build and maintain a high level of technical competence for diagnosing and servicing vehicles and utilise regular training
