Key responsibilities:
- Equipment Control - this is currently split into 3 areas:
- Pallet Pooling Control - Pallet pooling is a complex process and poor management can lead to significant charges for loss of equipment. At Yeo Valley, we have roughly 45,000 pallets a year coming in from our Raw Material suppliers and 350,000 pallets being de-hired to all of our customers with an annual spend in the region of £600k. We run all of our sites under one umbrella account meaning control processes of pallets in and out of the 8 sites is essential to minimise business risk. You will also be responsible for the monthly account reconciliation.
- Pallecon hire management - We supply bulk products between our production sites and our customers requiring bulk deliveries. This role will ensure Pallecons are de-hired and recovered from our customers after use and reconciliation of a £30k annual spend.
- Re-usable tray account management - Re-usable trays are being used more and more within the business. Having correct stock levels of trays is paramount to smooth production as well as managing levels within supplier fine tolerances. This role is responsible for ensuring we have enough equipment and that all customer de-hires are completed to maintain our stock balances and reconcile £600k of annual spend.
- General office administrative tasks - Every day will not be the same; not only will you be responsible for general administrative tasks, you will look to improve all areas within your role and work towards a paperless environment. You will need to be diligent and discreet, being involved in confidential meetings with fantastic audio dictation skills. You will also support the management of Purchase Order processing, entering and reconciling invoices accordingly. You will also be responsible for clock card management, printer consumables and relationships as well as coordinating incoming and outgoing mail.
- Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reporting - You will need to have a fantastic eye for detail, running reports from multiple formats. You will need to have excellent Excel knowledge in order to create and maintain reporting data sources that ultimately will lead to business decisions. Reports will be sent both internally and externally at all various levels so accuracy and format is essential.
- Maintaining filing and quality control systems - You will be responsible for implementing filing control processes for the upkeep and compliance of the QMS and Risk Assessment files. You will also look after any filing requirement, ensuring methodical and paperless filing systems are used.
