Job Description:
So, what will I be doing?
Working as part of an important team supporting production at our Blagdon site, you\’ll be operating and optimizing complex machines and processing equipment, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of product quality and health and safety. Using mechanical skills and knowledge, you will be the go-to person for all in the team that need support with complex operational processes, optimizing complex machines or identifying root causes of underlying problems.
Undertaking maintenance tasks, validation checks, and optimization of the machines, you will ensure the team can meet their daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with optimal utilization of our assets and raw materials.
Key responsibilities include:
- Dealing with the intake of raw materials.
- Operating pasteurisers & mix tanks.
- Undertaking advanced/complex fault finding, decision making, and rectification on equipment, leading the identification of root causes and escalating to engineering when required.
- Testing of base mixes and products, recording results, and monitoring waste.
- Performing routine checks to validate and maintain equipment safety control systems.
- Escalating any food safety breaches or quality issues.
- Analyzing and interpreting operational machine parameters to support effective decision-making and drive improvements.
- Managing daily paperwork and using internal computer systems.
- Ensuring quality control.
- Training and validating understanding to the highest standard, coaching and mentoring others to build capability.
- Energizing the team with a consistently enthusiastic approach, taking quick action, and encouraging others to do the same.
Shift pattern is a 4 on 4 off rolling shift, working 6 pm – 6 am.
