At Yeo Valley, we're looking for a Compliance Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Compliance Team based at our Isleport site in Highbridge, Somerset.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, hygiene and environmental compliance across our logistics operations.
As a Compliance Coordinator, you'll be responsible for carrying out day-to-day compliance activities while ensuring our Supply Chain continues to meet both Yeo Valley's high standards and the requirements of our customers and certification bodies.
Your responsibilities will include
- Quality & Traceability
- Completing scheduled traceability exercises to verify products can be traced from raw material intake through to customer delivery.
- Conducting transit and packaging trials to maintain product quality throughout the logistics process.
- Carrying out ad-hoc quality and standards inspections across Supply Chain operations.
- Identifying and escalating non-conformances to the relevant production sites.
- Auditing & Compliance
- Conducting internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Auditing third-party storage providers and supporting performance reviews of external hauliers.
• Monitoring compliance across areas including
- BRC Storage & Distribution Standard
- Pest management, allergen and glass control
- Health & Safety, including racking inspections and noise surveys
- Hygiene, housekeeping and quality standards
- Pre-requisite programmes and procedures
- Continuous Improvement
- Supporting cross-functional improvement projects to enhance compliance and operational performance.
- Assisting teams with root cause analysis and ensuring non-conformances are effectively investigated and closed out.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive best practice across the business.
- Technical Support
- Providing technical and compliance support to colleagues across the business.
- Supporting customer audits across Yeo Valley sites and third-party storage facilities.
- Working closely with our Central Technical team on procedure reviews and the implementation of new standards.
- Participating in HACCP reviews and supporting risk assessment activities.
- Travelling to other Yeo Valley sites when required.
- Pest Management
- Acting as the primary contact for our pest control provider.
- Managing pest sightings, proofing requirements and ensuring corrective actions are completed promptly.
- Carrying out routine pest management audits.
- Equipment Calibration
- Completing internal calibration of monitoring equipment in line with planned schedules to ensure ongoing compliance.
