As a Senior Supplier Technologist, you'll be pivotal in building and maintaining strong relationships with our raw material suppliers. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team, ensuring right first-time quality of raw material supply into our manufacturing sites.
As part of this team, your focus will be to manage a supplier portfolio, ensuring effective supplier management and raw material quality. Leading and driving effective supplier relationships and building effective supplier management and raw material plans. Working collaboratively, with your job share co-owner and co-owners in procurement, NPD and site manufacturing teams. Ensuring our suppliers meet business and customer requirements. Leading and driving continuous improvement in our supply base.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of raw materials and suppliers
- Effective management through risk assessment and performance
- Evaluate and approve potential and new suppliers in your category
- Work cross functionally to drive cost out across our suppliers
- Working with procurement and development to ensure appropriate suppliers / ingredients available to support innovation and business continuity needs
- Ensure supplier specifications are accurate and include all appropriate characteristics necessary to enable right first-time quality for operations
This role is part of a job share and the working hours are 2 days a week (16 hours per week) of which specific fixed days are to be agreed. The role is based at our Blagdon HQ offices.
