Overview
As a lead member of the production team at our Cannington Site, you will coordinate and optimise resources in a defined area and act as the go-to person for support. You will ensure operational activities are completed safely and to product quality standards, so our customers receive our products to specification.
You will work with frontline production teams and the wider site team to optimise asset and raw material use, while supporting performance improvement goals and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a commitment to Health & Safety by working safely, role modelling safety behaviours, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying unsafe conditions and escalating observations when support is needed.
- Ensure relevant controls and procedures are completed effectively.
- Collaborate with the Technical team to understand audit non-conformances and consumer complaints, and implement actions to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in Short Interval Control Reviews to optimise production through resource and raw material coordination.
- Share performance data with teams to highlight how each role contributes to shift, site and business success.
- Undertake problem solving to rectify equipment issues and help identify root causes when escalating to the wider support team.
- Train and validate team understanding through coaching and mentoring to build capability.
- Record and deliver operational handovers effectively.
- Energise the team with a consistent, enthusiastic approach and encourage others to do the same.
The working pattern for this role is a 4 on 4 off day rotation with 12 hour shifts (6:00 – 18:00).
