We are on the lookout for a reliable Multi Skilled Logistics Operative to join our busy distribution team at Isleport, Somerset. This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑moving warehouse environment and has solid hands‑on experience operating Reach Trucks, Counterbalance Forklifts and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

Your Responsibilities

  • Demonstrating a commitment to Health & Safety by working in a safe manner, role‑modeling our safety behaviours, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying unsafe conditions and escalating to other team members when support is needed.
  • Active involvement, commitment and governance of the quality management system, ensuring all relevant controls and procedures are completed effectively to validate food safety controls and the products we make exceed customer and consumer expectations.
  • Escalate any food safety breach or quality issue and ensure that any product below our standards is identified and held, with issues escalated appropriately, resolved and released.
  • Understand, adhere to and lead good manufacturing practices and company standards of hygiene, PPE, and dress code.
  • Role models a 'Clean as You Go' approach, maintaining workplace organisation and visual management standards with the team.
  • Effective operation and optimisation of equipment and priorities to meet production demand and deliver the highest quality of products.
  • Through ownership of performance and yield in your area/asset, optimise running conditions and actively participate in improvement activities that ensure effective use of resources.
  • Ownership of changeover activities and material replenishment in your area/asset, optimising resources and raw material yields.
  • Analysis and interpretation of operational machine parameters to support effective decision making and drive improvements.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely recording of downtime and raw material usage in an area.
  • Undertaking basic fault finding and rectification on equipment and actively support the identification of root cause when escalating to the wider support team when required.
  • Ensuring all equipment is properly cared for by completing effective cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Making decisions to support improvement to area KPIs and recommending continual improvement to equipment or processes with the Lead Operator or Line Manager.
  • Energising the team and demonstrating a consistently enthusiastic approach, taking action quickly and encouraging others to do the same.
