About the role
We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our distribution team at Isleport, Somerset. You will operate Reach Trucks, Counterbalance Forklifts and other MHE, moving stock safely and efficiently, picking and packing orders, managing stock control, maintaining health and safety and hygiene standards in a chilled warehouse. This is a fast‑moving, challenging environment.
Shift pattern and location
- Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 20:00 – 8:00.
- Location: Isleport, Somerset.
Key responsibilities
- Operate Reach Trucks, Counterbalance Forklifts and other MHE safely and competently.
- Book stock in, store stock and manage stock‑related issues.
- Undertake stock checks and maintain accurate records.
- Pick and pack orders accurately to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure safe use of all equipment and report any faults or breakdowns.
- Maintain strict health and safety and hygiene standards in a chilled environment.
- Minimise wastage and support overall efficiency.
Required qualifications and experience
- Valid Reach Truck and/or Counterbalance license (or recently expired).
- Strong practical experience using forklifts and MHE in a warehouse setting.
- Good communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding chilled environment.
- Previous experience of warehouse or packing roles is desirable.
- Food hygiene and health & safety certificates desirable.
