Logistic Operative - Days (4 on 4 off) in Highbridge

At Yeo Valley, we're looking for reliable and motivated Skilled Logistics Operatives to join our Distribution team at Isleport, Somerset.

If you thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and have experience operating Reach Trucks, Counterbalance Forklifts, and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE), this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Skilled Logistics Operative, you'll play a vital role in keeping our operation running smoothly—safely moving and storing stock, accurately picking customer orders, supporting stock control activities, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping in a safe, efficient, and well-organised warehouse.

We operate in a chilled environment, which keeps teams focused and collaborative.

Note: this role may be referred to internally as a Skilled Operator.

• What you'll be doing
• Safely operating Reach Trucks, Counterbalance Forklifts, and other MHE in line with company procedures.
• Receiving, booking in, storing, and replenishing stock.
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies where required.
• Completing general warehouse duties to support the wider operation.
• Carrying out pre-use equipment checks and reporting any faults or maintenance issues.
• Maintaining excellent standards of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping within a chilled warehouse environment.
• Helping to minimise waste and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

What we're looking for

• A valid (or recently expired) Reach Truck licence; Counterbalance licence is desirable.
• Proven experience operating forklifts and other MHE within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
• A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A flexible, reliable approach and willingness to support different areas of the operation when needed.
• Shift pattern

This role works a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, with working hours of 8:00am – 8:00pm.

• What you need
• Valid (or recently expired) Reach Truck and/or Counterbalance license.
• Strong practical experience using forklifts and MHE in a warehouse setting.
• Good communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, chilled environment.
• Previous experience of warehouse or packing roles is desirable.
• Food hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (desirable).
