Yeo Valley is looking for a reliable and friendly Skilled Logistics Operative to join our busy distribution team at Isleport, Somerset. This role suits someone who enjoys working in a fast‑moving warehouse environment and has solid hands‑on experience operating Reach Trucks, Counterbalance Forklifts and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE). In this role you will be at the heart of our operation – moving stock safely and efficiently, keeping the warehouse flowing, and ensuring every order leaves in perfect condition. Accuracy and attention to detail are key, especially when picking and packing. You will also support stock control, general warehouse duties, and uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene. We are ideally looking for someone with a valid (or recently expired) Reach Truck licence and proven forklift/MHE experience in a warehouse or logistics setting. A flexible, safety‑first attitude and strong teamwork are essential. The shift pattern for this position is 4 on 4 off days, 08:00 am to 20:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

  • Operating Reach Trucks, Counterbalance Forklifts and other MHE safely and competently.
  • Booking in stock, storing stock and managing stock‑related issues.
  • Undertaking stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
  • Picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensuring safe use of all equipment and reporting any faults or breakdowns.
  • Maintaining strict Health & Safety and hygiene standards in a chilled environment.
  • Minimising wastage and supporting overall efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Valid (or recently expired) Reach Truck and/or Counterbalance licence.
  • Strong practical experience using forklifts and MHE in a warehouse setting.
  • Good communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, chilled environment.
  • Previous experience of warehouse or packing roles is desirable.
  • Food hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (desirable).
