What you'll do:
- Design and build new features to connect Yelp users with businesses at a large scale.
- Iterate quickly using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment principles.
- Collaborate with team members and engineers across the company to design reliable systems.
- Implement beautiful, modern, and responsive features.
- Deploy projects in a Service-Oriented Architecture, from backend services to fully-featured UIs.
- Run A/B experiments and analyze data to identify trends.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams.
What it takes to succeed:
- Experience in at least one server-side programming language, preferably Python.
- Experience with at least one front-end framework and technology, preferably React.
- Interest in scalability, reliability, and performance challenges.
- Passion for Yelp and its mission to connect people with great local businesses.
- Understanding of web security and performance best practices.
- Comfortable working in a Unix environment.
