  • We have an amazing opportunity for a Software Developer to join our software development team, working in areas such as query execution, performance optimization, cluster management, security and debugging of issues encountered in the field
  • You’ll have the opportunity to work in all areas of our software stack which includes almost every aspect of computer science - from hardware to operating systems and user interfaces and everything in between

  • You have a flair for debugging the hardest issues around concurrency, and relish using AI to explore and master a large complex code base

  • Design, develop, test data warehouse microservices
  • Help troubleshoot and fix issues encountered in the field
  • Work closely with other teams such as Product and Technical Support to prioritise, guide and help customers

Skills & Experience

  • Internals of open source or commercial database
  • A working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and Helm
  • Machine Learning systems/platforms
  • Hashing, sorting, searching, aggregation
  • Strong knowledge of C and C++ and working knowledge of Java
  • Multi-core programming and memory models
  • File systems and storage APIs
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Distributed algorithms
  • Indexing
  • Experience developing software for Linux
  • Operating systems – kernels, threading, scheduling, memory management
  • TCP and RDMA networking
  • Fundamental computer science – as many of these as possible
  • Strong debugging skills with LLDB or GDB
  • Compilers – front end, internals or back-ends
  • Mastery of AI assistants such as Codex and Claude
  • SQL and relational databases
  • Basic understanding of networking and storage device behaviours
