We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef for one of Liverpool's most exciting venues. A theatrical bar and restaurant in the heart of the city, known for its creative menu, incredible atmosphere, and excellent reputation as a destination for both food and drink lovers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of a busy, high-volume kitchen
  • Leading and motivating the kitchen team during service, stepping up as the senior chef on shift when required
  • Maintaining consistently high food quality, presentation, and portion control across all dishes
  • Training, mentoring, and developing junior chefs and kitchen porters
  • Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to minimise waste and control costs
  • Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety standards (including HACCP)
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Working closely with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth, high-quality service during busy periods

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef
  • A passion for great food and a genuine interest in working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
  • Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • A team player
