We're looking for a highly proactive Business Development Manager to drive new business, corporate accounts and event revenue across two London sites. This is a hands-on, target-driven role for someone who thrives on building relationships, opening doors and closing deals, not managing an inbox. You'll be the face of the venues in the local business community, expected to be out networking as much as you're in venue, and present on-site for the events you book in to make sure they land perfectly and convert into repeat business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively generate new business across both venues, corporate bookings, private events, group dining and Christmas/summer party season, through outbound outreach, networking and relationship-building.
  • Build and manage a strong, visible pipeline of prospects and convert them into confirmed, high-value bookings.
  • Be present at events you've booked in for the venues, acting as the key contact for the client and ensuring seamless delivery, satisfaction and rebooking.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, PAs/EAs, event agencies, corporate clients and hospitality contacts across both site locations.
  • Represent The business at networking events, trade shows, chamber of commerce meetings and industry functions to build brand presence and generate leads.
  • Work closely with the General Managers at both venues to align sales activity with operational capacity, calendar availability and brand standards.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals, maximising revenue per booking while protecting guest experience.
  • Track pipeline, conversion rates and revenue performance against targets, reporting regularly on activity and results.
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of the local market, competitor activity, emerging opportunities, and trends in corporate and events spending.

What we're looking for:

  • A proven track record in business development or sales, ideally within hospitality, bars, restaurants or events.
  • A confident, experienced networker with the ability to build relationships and open new business quickly — an existing local black book is a strong advantage.
  • A genuine self-starter: proactive, target-driven and comfortable generating your own leads rather than waiting for them to land.
  • Willingness and availability to attend evening and weekend events at the venues as part of the role.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills — able to manage a live pipeline across two sites at once.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and enthusiasm for the brand and guest experience.

What's in it for you:

  • Competitive base salary plus an excellent, uncapped commission structure — the more business you drive, the more you earn.
  • A genuine platform to make the role your own across two flagship London sites.
  • Industry-leading training and a clear path for career progression within a growing, long established, premium bar and restaurant group.
  • Generous staff discount and benefits package.
  • A fun, energetic, personality-led culture — we hire for character as much as experience.
