About us

Yellow Card is the largest and first licensed stablecoin-based infrastructure provider, operating in 20 African countries and the emerging markets. Our mission is to empower businesses of all sizes, making it easier for them to make international payments, protect their financial assets, manage their treasury function, and access hard currency liquidity. We are creating “financial infrastructure that works”, disrupting the financial services industry by offering innovative solutions designed to meet the distinct needs of – and real-world challenges faced on a daily basis by – our customers. Leveraging the power of stablecoins pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar (e.g., USDC, USDT, and PYUSD), we deliver our innovative solutions through our commercial trading function, our B2B products (i.e., our Payments API & Treasury Portal).

About The Role

As the SEO Lead, you will own and drive Yellow Card’s global organic growth engine. You will sit at the intersection of Technical SEO, Content Strategy, and emerging AI Search (AEO). In this leadership role, you will be responsible for deciding exactly what content our teams produce, who it targets, and how it is structured to capture high-intent B2B demand. Search is mutating into Search + Experience Optimization, where AI, intent, and authority matter more than keywords alone. You will ensure our stablecoin and payment infrastructure solutions are the definitive answers on traditional search engines, LLMs, and AI platforms.

Core Responsibilities

  • Organic Content Ownership: Act as the architect for all organic content (blog, resource hubs, landing pages). Define the editorial roadmap, target audiences, and search intent to ensure every piece of content drives qualified B2B traffic and pipeline. Develop exhaustive creative briefs for cross-functional execution.
  • AEO & Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO): Optimise Yellow Card’s digital presence for Large Language Models (LLMs). Develop entity-mapping strategies, knowledge graphs, and advanced structured data markup to position YC as the authoritative source for AI-generated search results (AI Overviews/Snapshots).
  • Technical SEO Leadership: Audit, maintain, and scale the technical health of our global web properties to ensure they are compatible and optimised for search engine technologies and LLM agents. Manage complex multi-regional site architectures and international SEO strategies across 34 emerging and established markets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Automation: Serve as a subject matter expert, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to evolve the software systems and architectures needed to scale our acquisition engine. Champion programmatic SEO and the use of automated workflows to generate, optimise, and audit high-impact content at scale.
  • B2B Pipeline & Compliance: Map the organic journey from initial search to CRM lead capture. Navigate strict financial promotion regulations (FCA, MiCA, local African regulators) to ensure all content maintains impeccable E-E-A-T and regulatory safety.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in B2B SEO, ideally within Fintech, Crypto, Web3, or enterprise platforms.
  • AEO Native: Deep, up-to-date knowledge of how AI Search, RAG environments, and LLMs crawl, index, and retrieve information.
  • Content & Data Synergy: Exceptional ability to translate technical search queries and LLM intent into clear, actionable strategies for B2B audiences.
  • Technical & Automation Mindset: Strong background in schema markup, site architecture, and basic web programming acumen (HTML, JS, CSS). Experience automating SEO operations (n8n, Python, scripts) to scale insights.
  • Enterprise Tool Stack Mastery: Expert-level proficiency with technical crawling tools (Screaming Frog/Sitebulb) and advanced data ecosystems (GA4, GSC, Data4SEO, BI tools) to define metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Leadership: A data-driven, results-oriented leader with a proven track record of building scalable systems, managing stakeholders, and simplifying complex topics for cross-functional partners.

  • Impactful and Purposeful Work: You will be helping to drive financial inclusion across Africa.
