Your Mission: We’re looking for dedicated Production Operatives to join our growing team. You’ll be part of our production process, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll operate machinery, monitor production lines, and maintain hygiene standards.
- Team Purpose & Challenges: The purpose of the role is to produce safe, high-quality food efficiently and reliably, while supporting each other and the wider business goals of MORE YEARS. The role is fast-paced, requiring focus, stamina, and teamwork.
- Strategic Focus & Priorities: To balance quality, efficiency, and safety. Delivering reliable products, supporting team performance, and driving improvements across the site.
- Reporting & Leadership: Reporting to the department manager.
- Collaboration: Working primarily with the prep production team. Supporting other departments as and when required.
- Hands-On vs. Strategic Balance: The role is primarily hands-on due to its focus on process adherence, daily output targets, and team contribution. Leadership in practice, ownership of tasks, problem-solving contribution, CI input, and team impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.
- Carry out quality checks and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety standards.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically active role.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Flexibility to work various shifts.
Hours & Rates of Pay: 40 hours per week contract with overtime available. Monday - Saturday shift pattern (5 days out of 6). 6am - 6pm shift pattern (nights also available). £12.75 - £13.85 per hour (depending on shift pattern).
