Your Mission: You'll be the engine room of our procurement team - managing daily orders, chasing suppliers, keeping production moving, and building the relationships that make it all work. This isn't just processing POs. You'll get hands-on with the full supply chain - from sourcing veg and spices to managing packaging and services - while working directly with NPD, Warehouse, Data Science, and Marketing teams across the business.
Day-to-day (60-70%):
- Raise purchase orders and confirm delivery dates with suppliers
- Chase orders, manage lead times, and ensure timely deliveries
- Manage stock levels for consumables and flag supply chain risks early
- Keep Fishbowl (our inventory system) accurate and up to date
Strategic stuff (30-40%):
- Build strong supplier relationships and explore new supply chain opportunities
- Spot improvements and contribute ideas to make procurement more efficient
- Support due diligence on suppliers and help build department resilience
- Tackle critical last-minute requests and business-critical supply chain challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Order Creation & Management: Accurately create and process purchase orders for a wide range of SKUs.
- Delivery & Supplier Management: Confirm delivery dates with suppliers, proactively chase orders, and follow up on logistics to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries.
- Internal Communication: Provide timely updates to the Goods-In team and other internal stakeholders regarding delivery schedules.
- Master Data Management: Set up new part numbers in the system and manage new supplier data with high attention to detail.
- Category Ownership: Take full ownership of the consumable supply chain, managing it from end to end.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively support and contribute to improvement initiatives across the site and within the procurement function.
- Cross-Functional Support: Work collaboratively with team members across the business and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
What you’ll bring...
Experience: Previous experience in a procurement, manufacturing, or administrative role is preferred, but more importantly, we are looking for the right attitude and a genuine eagerness to learn.
Core Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures meticulously.
- Excellent communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) - this is essential.
