Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior CAD Engineer to join a high‑performing, multi‑site CAD team supporting projects across Oil & Gas (Norwich), Fire Suppression Systems (Aberdeen), and Electrical Systems – PAVA / PAGA (Nottingham). You will lead the delivery of 2D drawings (AutoCAD) and 3D models/assemblies (Autodesk Inventor), producing complex, high‑quality outputs suitable for manufacture and installation, in line with JCI CAD governance and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and review 2D drawings using AutoCAD
  • Develop complex 3D models and assemblies in Inventor
  • Deliver designs to fabrication‑ready standard
  • Ensure CAD outputs are controlled, traceable, and compliant with standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and project teams
  • Support multi‑discipline projects (Oil & Gas, Fire, Electrical)
  • Contribute to CAD checking, review, and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate effectively across UK and offshore teams

About You – Essential

  • 5+ years’ CAD experience
  • Strong AutoCAD (2D) capability
  • Experience with 3D modelling/assemblies (Inventor or similar)
  • Proven delivery of high-quality engineering drawings
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Desirable

  • Oil & Gas, Fire or Electrical systems experience
  • Multi‑discipline project exposure
  • Knowledge of CAD standards, revision control, and checking processes

Qualifications

Engineering Degree (preferred) or HNC/HND
