Location: Wymondham, East Anglia. Field‑based role covering all of East Anglia, requiring flexibility to travel and stay overnight in hotels as needed.
Learn to service, commission and maintain fire and security systems such as fire detection, intrusion detection, CCTV, access control and intruder alarms. Spend substantial time at client sites—residential, commercial and retail—servicing and repairing equipment. Work alongside a dedicated team to acquire hands‑on experience on the path to becoming a qualified fire and security engineer.
Responsibilities
- Service, commission and maintain fire and security systems at client sites.
- Perform inspections and repairs of fire detection, intrusion detection, CCTV and access control equipment.
- Travel to various sites across East Anglia.
- Collaborate with team members and acquire essential engineering skills.
Qualifications
- GCSE English and Maths, Grade 5 (C) or above.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.
- Good physical health; the job can be labour intensive at times.
- Willingness to travel and stay in hotels when required.
- Team spirit, communication skills and a passion for technology and engineering.
Training
Training will take place at Banham Academy. You will study a Level 3 Fire Emergency & Security Systems Technician course, combining college learning with hands‑on mentoring in a block format.
