As a Quantity Surveyor at Johnson Controls, you will manage the day‑to‑day quantity surveying and commercial delivery of projects from contract award through to completion, providing commercial and contractual advice to the Sales and Projects teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to support project delivery.
- Monitor and control change to ensure financial outcomes while protecting the company from commercial risk.
- Manage variations and final accounts to achieve timely and profitable agreements.
- Escalate issues, implement corrective actions, and bring projects back to the agreed contractual position, budget and programme.
- Identify claim opportunities, develop entitlements, valuations and supporting substantiation.
- Operate confidently in a fast‑paced commercial environment, managing multiple priorities through strong planning, organisation and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor on projects from £100k to £5m.
- Experience within an MEP environment.
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial risk.
- Proven delivery of large commercial projects.
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
