About us

YDS Group is the parent company behind two growing dental and aesthetics brands: Yorkshire Dental Suite and Smile White. As we scale, we're investing seriously in data - and we're looking for a best-in-class Business Intelligence / Data Analyst to turn that data into the insight that drives smarter decisions across both brands.

This is the role that connects the numbers to the action. You'll be the person leadership turns to when they need to understand what's really happening in the business - and what to do about it.

The role

You'll own reporting, analysis and insight across Yorkshire Dental Suite and Smile White. Working with data from across the group - clinical, operational, financial and marketing - you'll build the dashboards and analysis that give the business clear, trusted visibility of performance, and you'll dig into the numbers to surface the insights that move the needle.

You'll work closely with our Data Engineer, who owns the underlying data infrastructure and integrity; your focus is making that data useful - translating it into reporting, insight and recommendations that people across the business actually act on.

Key responsibilities

  • Build, own and maintain dashboards and reporting that give leadership clear, real-time visibility of performance across both brands.
  • Analyse data across clinical activity, operations, finance and marketing to surface trends, opportunities and issues.
  • Turn business questions into clear analysis and turn analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Define and track the KPIs that matter most to the group, and make sure they're reported consistently and accurately.
  • Partner with teams across the business to understand what they need and deliver insight that genuinely supports decisions.
  • Work alongside the Data Engineer to ensure the data feeding your reporting is accurate, well-structured and reliable.
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, telling the story behind the numbers.
  • Help build a culture where decisions are grounded in evidence, not guesswork.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • A strong track record as a BI / Data Analyst, delivering reporting and insight that has shaped real decisions.
  • Excellent SQL and confident working with data across multiple sources.
  • Strong hands-on experience with a BI / dashboarding tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau or Looker).
  • Genuine analytical rigour - you don't just report numbers, you interrogate them and explain what they mean.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a talent for making data clear and compelling for non-technical colleagues.
  • A commercial mindset - you understand which questions matter to the business and why.
  • The ability to own the analytics function and work independently.

Desirable

  • Experience with statistical analysis or a scripting language such as Python or R.
  • Experience in healthcare, dental, aesthetics or another multi-site, customer-facing business.
  • Experience working across multiple brands, sites or locations.
  • Familiarity with marketing, CRM and finance data.

What we offer

A salary of £42,000 – £52,000 depending on experience. The chance to own analytics for two growing brands and have a direct, visible impact on how the group makes decisions. A genuine partnership with our Data Engineer and a real commitment from leadership to becoming a data-driven business. YDS Group is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all backgrounds.
