Job Type: 2 Week+ Contract
We are seeking an experienced 2nd Fix Plumber to join our team on a busy new build housing development site. The successful candidate will carry out high-quality 2nd fix plumbing works, ensuring all installations meet current regulations and site standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all 2nd fix plumbing tasks including installation of sanitaryware, taps, baths, showers, radiators, and related pipework.
- Conduct finishing and connection work to pre-installed 1st fix systems.
- Ensure all plumbing installations are completed safely, accurately, and within project timelines.
- Provide mention of technical drawings and site instructions.
- Collaborate with site managers, supervisors, and other trades to maintain smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to site health & safety policies.
- Identify and report any issues, defects, or material requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card (essential).
- Proven experience in 2nd fix plumbing on new build housing sites.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship.
- Own tools and appropriate PPE.
- Willingness to provide recent, relevant references.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Essential):
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence.
