About Aios Medical

Our overarching mission is to build the AI operating system for consumer healthcare - delivering end-to-end care with near-zero marginal human time. We are not an average healthcare company. We believe the future of healthcare is automated, intelligent, radically lower cost, and built around the consumer. We believe biology is entering a golden age. We believe profitable, focused companies beat bloated ones. We're determined to get the humans out of healthcare - replacing slow, expensive, legacy workflows with software-driven care delivered at scale.

We’ve started by building this infrastructure to power our own brands - including Bolt Pharmacy and Fella Health, among others. Today, that infrastructure is helping patients access life-changing treatment for excess bodyweight. Over time, we’ll extend it across many of the categories that will define the next era of healthcare. Our infrastructure will have served 100 million patients worldwide by 2035. We’ll then use that infrastructure to deliver next-generation healthcare products at massive scale.

How far along are we? We’ve grown 40x over the past 12 months, now serving 100,000+ patients and surpassing $200M in annual revenue, all while staying cashflow positive. We’re a young startup and we’re just getting started. This is still Day 1 and all our work is ahead of us.

We're backed by top healthcare & consumer investors:

  • Y Combinator
  • Global Founders Capital
  • AngelList Early Stage Fund

Being the UK Clinical Ops Lead at Aios Medical

We're the 5th largest GLP-1 provider in the UK. By the end of this year, we'll be number one. We've got direct relationships with the major GLP-1 manufacturers, a profitable business that's compounding fast, a Silicon Valley calibre engineering team, and an AI-first approach to clinical operations that nobody else in the UK is even close to. We are going to win this market. The only question is who's coming with us.

As UK Clinical Ops Lead at Aios, powering Bolt Pharmacy, your fundamental role is to build and scale the clinical operating system that enables GLP-1 patients to move through care safely, quickly, and consistently.

You’ll have a clinical and operational background prescribing GLP-1s previously, but this is not a passive advisory role, nor is it a Superintendent Pharmacist role. You will own operational design, KPIs, and team performance. We’re intense, so you’ll be intense.

You’ll lead the senior team and own the day-to-day clinical engine across >50 prescribing pharmacists and the medic team: staffing, rota, capacity planning, protocolisation, adherence to protocols, clinical workflow design, and the KPIs that show whether the system is working. You’ll make sure we always have the right clinical capacity in place, prescribing queues move smoothly, and clinical decisions are supported by compliant, productised protocols.

You’ll work across Clinical, Product, and Operations to make sure prescribing frameworks are translated into clear decision trees, escalation pathways, and productised workflows that scale to serve ≥1,000,000 patients per month.

Excellent performance in this role means clinical capacity stays ahead of growth, protocols are clear and productised, patients are not waiting in queues, and prescriber standards remain painfully high. If you nail this role, you’ll define how modern, protocol-driven care is delivered at massive scale.

This is a senior, full-time hybrid role (based in the Blackburn area of England). You’ll be reporting directly to Saim Dalvi, our UK Lead.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and productise GLP-1 protocols
  • Create and maintain scalable GLP-1 protocols
  • Reduce friction so eligible patients move through quiz, onboarding, and reordering flows compliantly and quickly
  • Raise team standards
  • Protect patient safety while enabling commercial scale
  • Own clinical protocol adherence across the team. Set the standard, audit against it, and close gaps through targeted retraining so every clinician and dispenser is operating from the same playbook.
  • Support governance audits, training, and protocol rollouts
  • Own clinical staffing and rota
  • Ensure the right pharmacist and medic coverage is in place as volume grows
  • Guide rota and capacity plans for weekdays, weekends, holidays, and spikes
  • Drive clinical throughput and KPIs
  • Own SLAs, escalation rates, clinician output metrics and quality analysis
  • Measure output and address underperformance quickly
  • Unify prescribing pathways
  • Create one clear operating model across prescribing pharmacists and the medic team
  • Help define which cases sit with pharmacists, medics, or escalation (senior team)
  • Make compliant workflows simple, auditable, and scalable

Need to have:

  • GPhC pharmacist + independent prescriber: You’re a registered UK pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber qualification.
  • Protocol builder: You’ve written, improved, and operationalised (preferably GLP-1) protocols before.
  • Product-manager minded: You’re comfortable working with Compliance, Product and Engineering to turn clinical protocols into scalable workflows.
  • Commercialclinical mindset: You care a lot about safety and standards, and you also understand that protocols, staffing, and clinical friction directly affect conversion rate, retention, and commercial growth.
  • Performance: You’re comfortable using data to manage output, challenge standards, and raise the bar.
  • Staffing + rota ownership: You’ve owned or heavily influenced clinical staffing, rota, and capacity planning.
  • Regulated healthcare judgement: You understand the realities of operating in a GPhC-regulated environment.

Nice to have:

  • Superintendent Pharmacist background: You’ve held, deputised for, or worked closely with a Superintendent Pharmacist.
  • CQC awareness: You understand how UK private/CQC pathways work.
  • Clinical governance exposure: You’ve supported audits, inspections, protocol reviews, and governance frameworks.
  • Startup pace: You’ve operated in high-velocity environments where priorities shift.
  • Systems thinker: You simplify complexity, remove ambiguity, and build frameworks that scale beyond individual clinical judgement.
  • Builder mode: You may have founded something previously, no matter how small.

Our cultural standards:

  • Belief in the mission: We will have served 100 million patients by the end of 2035.
  • Unwavering integrity: We must maintain impeccable ethics and unwavering integrity.
  • Only the paranoid survive: Bad sh*t is coming.
  • If we’re average we fail: We are only interested in “insanely great”.
  • Commitment to candor: You get full transparency from the company and the company expects full transparency from you.
  • A maniacal sense of urgency: Speed is critical and we need things done yesterday.
  • Enduring frugality: We are frugal and hate being wasteful.
  • Bulldozing barriers: We truly believe the world is malleable and we shape it.
  • Keep your head down: We’re boring people doing exciting work.
  • The power of focus: Know your One Thing, and nail it.

Compensation & Benefits:

You get paid above market salary and you get early stage equity, so you get really rich if we nail this.

Compensation: £85k-£150k/yr inc equity

Benefits:

  • Vacation: generous time-off with a yearly minimum
  • Remote: our team is fully distributed across the world and functions fully remotely.
  • Professional development: budget for books, courses, coaching (£500/yr)
  • Personal wellness: budget for gym, health apps (£500/yr)
  • Equipment: WFH gear provided as needed, inc Macbook (≥£1000)

What are we missing? We're still early so you get to shape our culture.
