Our short-term goal is simple: to become the first choice for homeowners across Glasgow's West End.

We're looking for someone who shares that ambition and wants to help us get there.

We're looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, takes pride in providing exceptional customer service and wants to be part of a business that's raising the standard of estate agency.

Whether you already have experience within estate agency, hospitality, customer service or sales, or you're simply someone who enjoys working with people and has a genuine interest in property, we'd love to hear from you.

About Yates Hellier

This is an exciting time to join Yates Hellier.

We've built a strong reputation, an exceptional team and a business we're incredibly proud of.

The next few years represent another important stage in our journey, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow alongside us.

We're known for doing things differently.

From the way we market homes to the way we communicate with our clients, we've built a reputation for challenging the traditional approach to estate agency.

We're always looking for better ways of doing things, embracing new ideas and continually raising the standard of what clients should expect from an estate agent.

Based from our office on Hyndland Road, we're one of the West End's leading independent estate agencies.

We've achieved that in a short period of time, competing against businesses that have been established for far longer.

But we're not finished.

Working With Us

You'll work closely alongside our experienced sales team, becoming an important part of delivering the exceptional customer experience we're known for.

As one of the first people prospective buyers meet, you'll represent both our clients' homes and the Yates Hellier brand.

Every viewing is an opportunity to leave a lasting impression through professionalism, enthusiasm and genuine local knowledge.

This role offers genuine flexibility, making it ideal for someone looking to fit work around other commitments while remaining part of a supportive and ambitious team.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll conduct accompanied property viewings across Glasgow's West End and surrounding areas, ensuring every prospective buyer receives a warm, professional and informative experience.

Responsibilities include

  • Conducting property viewings (including evenings and weekends).
  • Welcoming prospective buyers and showcasing properties confidently.
  • Collecting valuable viewing feedback and communicating it promptly to the sales team.
  • Ensuring properties are presented professionally before and after viewings.
  • Representing the Yates Hellier brand to the highest standard at every appointment.
  • Supporting the wider sales team during busy periods when required.

About You

You don't necessarily need previous estate agency experience.

More importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

You should also be

  • Friendly, confident and personable.
  • A natural communicator who puts people at ease.
  • Reliable, organised and professional.
  • Well presented and punctual.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • Passionate about property and customer experience.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a close knit team.
  • In possession of a full UK driving licence.

Ideally, you'll already know Glasgow's West End and the surrounding areas well. You'll understand the people, the neighbourhoods and what makes these properties so special.

Why Join Yates Hellier?

This is more than a viewing agent role.

It's an opportunity to help shape the future of an ambitious independent business that's committed to doing things differently.

You'll work alongside experienced people who genuinely care about helping each other succeed.

If you're looking for somewhere you can make a genuine impact rather than simply maintain the status quo, we'd love to hear from you.

What We Offer

  • £15 per hour.
  • Flexible, part time hours to suit both the business and your availability.
  • Company pool cars available for appointments.
  • Mileage allowance for property appointments when using own vehicle.
  • Ongoing training and support.
  • Opportunities to develop into wider sales roles as the business grows.
  • A supportive, ambitious and collaborative working environment.
  • Company pension.

How to prepare for a job interview at Yateshellier

Know Your Local Market

As someone looking to step into the real estate game, it's crucial for us to know the local property market inside out. Brush up on the trends, average property prices, and the type of clients in your area. This shows Yateshellier that you're not just looking for a part-time gig but are genuinely interested in making a difference in the local scene.

Be Ready for Scenario Questions

In a real estate interview, we might face role-play or scenario questions designed to gauge our problem-solving skills. Think about potential client scenarios, like handling a difficult buyer or negotiating prices, and prepare to discuss how you'd manage those situations. This will show Yateshellier that we can think on our feet!

Show Your Value-Added Skills
