Summary: The main function of a UI/UX Developer is to translate creative software design concepts and ideas into reality using front end technology. They understand the user interface design solution both in its practical intent and creative vision, and convert it into engineered software.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills:

  • Work experience in front end development
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks like Angular 2+/React/Polymer
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript design patterns and Object Oriented JavaScript
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience of unit testing frameworks like Jasmine
  • Strong understanding of Web components
  • Basic understanding of build systems like Webpack/Bazel
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Basic understanding of Node.js, Express and oAuth
  • Basic understanding of state management library like Redux, NGRX

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. 7-10 years experience required.
