To lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure reactive and preventative technical support is provided efficiently and effectively to achieve production targets and customer deliveries.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising a small team of Maintenance Technicians on a 2-shift rotor
  • Safely managing risk assessments and COSHH for maintenance team
  • 2nd Escalation call for equipment breakdowns
  • Ensuring all maintenance activity is carried out in a safe, timely manner to a high standard
  • Ensuring there is sufficient maintenance cover for production hours and overtime hours where necessary
  • Managing external contractors on site including all relevant documentation
  • Providing technical support to achieve production output standards
  • Planning and executing pro-active preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime
  • Working from mechanical, schematics drawings to assist with fault finding
  • Advising on technical issues, liaising with engineers and the production team as well as supporting continuous improvement activities
  • Monitoring machine performance
  • Any other duties as required

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an automotive environment
  • Experience of working within IATF16949 quality system environment
