YASA is looking for a Relocation Project Manager to be responsible for managing the end-to-end relocation of YASA\’s manufacturing operations from existing sites to our new purpose-built facility based in Bicester.
Working closely with YASA’s fit-out contractors, the Project Manager will coordinate and implement a detailed plan to ensure the new facility is ready for relocation activities to commence as scheduled.
This role is a two-year fixed term contract.

What You\’ll Do
- Develop a comprehensive project plan that defines the full scope of the relocation, covering all key areas including logistics, equipment, IT infrastructure, facilities, Testing & Validation Etc.
- Form a dedicated project team utilising internal resources, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the relocation budget.
- Serve as the central point of contact between internal YASA teams, external contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement a structured communication plan to support and guide employees through the relocation process. Coordinate site visits, orientation sessions, and workshops to familiarise staff with the new facility.
- Establish feedback channels to capture and address concerns and queries.
- Provide detailed moving instructions, including desk assignments and personal item relocation guidance.
- Implement a structured risk management approach in line with PRINCE2 principles, defining risk owners and developing a appropriate response strategy
- Effectively manage relationships with YASA’s fit-out contractors, moving companies, equipment movers, and other service providers.
- Coordinate the transportation of machinery, equipment, and supplies to the new location.
- Oversee the preparation of the new facility, ensuring that all utilities, infrastructure, and security systems are fully operational and meet the required standards.
- Collaborate closely with YASA’s IT department to ensure the smooth transfer of IT systems and infrastructure to the new location.
- Support YASA Employees, Consultants & Contractors in relocation efforts, including re-housing, employment benefits, and communication.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation, including detailed project plans, status reports, risk and issue logs, and any relevant communications.
- Implement a robust document control system to ensure all documents are versioned, accurately reflect project progress, and are easily accessible to stakeholders.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project performance against objectives. Proactively identify and address any deviations from the plan, making necessary adjustments to keep the project on course and ensure successful completion.
- Ensure that all necessary signoffs for the new facility are obtained in advance of the move, including approvals for fit-out works, utilities, and systems installation.
- Confirm new office network connectivity and security measures are fully implemented.
- Verify that HVAC, electrical, and plumbing installations are fully completed and operational. Ensure that emergency exits, fire alarms, and evacuation procedures are fully functional and in compliance with safety regulations.
To Succeed In This Role, We Believe You\’ll Need
- A degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Considerable experience working in a Project Management focussed role.
- A Prince 2, PMP or equivalent Project Manager Qualification.
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- To be confident liaising with customers and suppliers.
- A flexible approach to work, with the desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams.
- To be results-orientated, self-motivated with the determination to succeed.
- To be a creative problem solver with an analytical approach to implementation.
