To lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure reactive and preventative technical support is provided efficiently and effectively to achieve production targets and customer deliveries.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising a small team of Maintenance Technicians on a 2-shift rotor
- Safely managing risk assessments and COSHH for maintenance team
- 2nd Escalation call for equipment breakdowns
- Ensuring all maintenance activity is carried out in a safe, timely manner to a high standard
- Ensuring there is sufficient maintenance cover for production hours and overtime hours where necessary
- Managing external contractors on site including all relevant documentation
- Providing technical support to achieve production output standards
- Planning and executing pro-active preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime
- Working from mechanical, schematics drawings to assist with fault finding
- Advising on technical issues, liaising with engineers and the production team as well as supporting continuous improvement activities
- Monitoring machine performance
- Any other duties as required
Desirable:
- Previous experience in an automotive environment
- Experience of working within IATF16949 quality system environment
