The Governing Body seeks an experienced, innovative, and creative classroom practitioner committed to supporting children's wellbeing and learning, with high aspirations and expectations for pupils. Llangewydd Junior School is located in Bridgend, part of the Bryntirion Cluster of schools, with 351 pupils aged three to eleven, including 12 mainstream classes and 2 ALN classes. The school offers high-quality professional development, a supportive environment, and values staff well-being.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Be an excellent, experienced classroom practitioner with a sound understanding of the Curriculum for Wales.
  • Provide high-quality learning experiences that support and challenge all learners.
  • Plan meaningful indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and manage support staff.
  • Be organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Liaise with parents, governors, and the wider community.
  • Be able to greet customers through the medium of Welsh.
  • Protect children, young people, or adults at risk as a core responsibility.
  • Undergo an Enhanced DBS check including Children's Barred List.
