We are looking for a trustworthy, experienced, and caring part-time groom to work Monday to Saturday mornings. The schedule is 2.5 hours per day in summer and 3 hours per day in winter, six days a week. The role involves caring for three retired older polo ponies, mares, in a very quiet environment.
Responsibilities include turning out the horses (2 are stabled), putting on rugs when needed, mucking out 2 stables, grooming, feeding, cleaning tack, managing water buckets, sweeping, and maintaining a tidy stable area. Gentle exercise for the horses is required, with one lead and one ridden session per day.
Experience working with horses is essential. You should be confident in handling and moving horses. The position offers a salary of £14 per hour, payable clear, with an immediate start required.
