We are currently seeking a full-time groom who is eager to learn and teach in our esteemed Riding School. Located in the heart of South West London, Deen City Farm is one of the oldest community farms in the capital. Spanning across 5 acres, our farm is home to a diverse range of animals, offering a unique blend of rural activities and education to engage individuals from all backgrounds and abilities. Our Riding School boasts 13 horses and ponies, catering to riders of all levels aged 8 and above.We are now recruiting for a Riding School Groom/Trainee Instructor to contribute to the following responsibilities:* Assisting and supporting the Riding School team in the day-to-day operations of the yard including tacking up, mucking out and feeding.* Assisting and supporting staff in delivering engaging Own a Pony days.* Assisting and supporting our dedicated volunteers in their duties at the farm.* Interacting with visitors and clients, ensuring exceptional customer service.* Exercising riding school horses (with a weight limit of 11 stone).Regular training towards exams can be provided by BHS II SM SE, utilizing our well-schooled horses. The ideal candidate for this role will be a hard-working, trustworthy, and friendly individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves and maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for all our visitors. Proficiency in walking, trotting, and cantering, as well as grooming, mucking out, and tacking up, is essential.
