Who are Yapily? Why we exist, and where we’re headed:
Our Mission: Redefining how the world interacts with value.
Our Vision: A world without financial friction.
Our Purpose: To empower everyone to access and move value.
At Yapily, we’re building a powerful, scalable, and secure open banking infrastructure that redefines how the world interacts with value. Our open banking platform powers leading companies, such as Adyen, Intuit QuickBooks, and Google. By delivering payment initiation, bank data access, and pre‑built products, we enable businesses to innovate fast and push the boundaries of financial technology. As an early pioneer of open banking, we’re actively shaping the future of this industry with unrivalled expertise and a relentless focus on innovation.
What we’re looking for: We are looking for a Product Manager to own our Embedded UI & SDK platform – the embedded financial interface that enables thousands of businesses to offer payments and account connectivity without building their own UI. You will own the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery of Hosted Pages (web), Mobile SDKs (iOS/Android), Code SDKs, and embedded financial widgets across 19 UK & European markets. Your customers are businesses (B2B) who embed your UI and integrate your SDKs, but the end users are consumers (B2C), requiring you to balance developer experience with end‑user conversion optimisation. You are the expert in UI/UX, conversion funnels, SDK development, frontend performance, payment security, and creating delightful embedded experiences. You leverage AI tools to enhance productivity in design, testing, and analysis workflows. You work closely with engineering teams and collaborate with Payments and Data Product teams.
Key Tasks:
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for Embedded UI & SDK platform (web + native mobile SDKs + code SDKs).
- Build and launch web‑based Hosted Pages for payment initiation and account connection flows.
- Build the long‑term strategy to develop and maintain native mobile SDKs for iOS and Android with excellent developer experience.
- Design bank selection, authentication, and consent flows for open banking across multiple markets.
- Ensure security best practices and regulatory compliance across all hosted products and SDKs.
- Implement secure data handling: tokenisation, sensitive data isolation, and fraud prevention measures.
- Build authentication experiences: 3DS, SCA (Strong Customer Authentication), and bank‑specific authentication flows.
- Optimise conversion funnels, analysing drop‑off points and implementing improvements to maximise completion rates.
- Define technical architecture for embedded widgets, iframe integration, and SDK distribution.
- Ensure frontend performance: fast load times, minimal bundle sizes, smooth mobile experiences.
- Implement multi‑language support and localisation across 19+ UK & European markets.
- Partner with Payments and Data PMs to understand requirements and translate them into interface solutions.
- Run A/B tests on conversion‑critical flows and analyse user behaviour to reduce friction.
- Collaborate with UX and UI teams on wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and iteration.
- Coordinate with other PMs and POs for cross‑functional initiatives.
- Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
This list is not exhaustive, and there may be other tasks that we ask you to be involved in from time to time. Above all, you are flexible and want to add value wherever you can. You understand that in a start‑up, priorities change and we all need to be adaptable. Not only will you be comfortable when asked to input and lead in other areas, but you’ll be comfortable being a self‑starter and instigating changes yourself.
For your new role:
- You have 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, developer tools, fintech, or frontend platforms.
- You have proven track record building and launching web products and/or mobile SDKs (iOS/Android).
- You have deep understanding of frontend technologies: JavaScript frameworks, React, mobile development, API integration.
- You have experience with SDK development and distribution (mobile SDKs and/or code libraries).
- You have experience with conversion optimisation, funnel analysis, and data‑driven product decisions.
- You have strong technical background: able to discuss architecture with engineers and review technical designs.
- You have experience building secure financial products in regulated environments (payments, fintech, or banking).
- You understand payment security: tokenisation, 3DS/SCA authentication, secure data handling, fraud prevention in UI.
- You have knowledge of open banking consent flows, bank authentication UX, and regulatory requirements (PSD2, GDPR).
- You understand the balance between security, compliance, and user experience in financial flows.
- You have experience with high‑volume, mission‑critical customer‑facing applications.
- You have experience building products for developers (B2B) that serve end consumers (B2C).
- You have demonstrated success with UI/UX design: creating intuitive, high‑converting user interfaces.
- You have understanding of embedded/white‑label products, iframe integration, or SDK distribution.
- You leverage AI tools in your day‑to‑day activities for design, testing, analysis, and documentation.
- You have excellent analytical skills: comfortable with product metrics, A/B testing, and analytics tools.
- You have outstanding communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- You are results‑oriented and can manage competing priorities effectively.
- You love innovation – it’s wired into your DNA.
- You are commercially minded and understand how great UX impacts conversion and revenue.
- You are driven and curious. You ask questions and strive to understand.
- You have a can‑do approach. You think on your feet and switching up tasks comes naturally to you.
- You think outside the box and are pragmatic. You bring in and iterate on experience, skills, and knowledge of best practice from elsewhere. You are always looking for better and cost‑effective ways to do things.
