Position: Finance Function Transformation Directors – Insurance
Location: UK Wide – Hybrid Working
Basic Salary up to £220K plus significant bonus and benefits package
Our client is a market leading, boutique, multi-award-winning financial services organisation providing a range of compliance and advisory services to the Insurance and Investment Management sector. They have recently appointed several highly respected Insurance Consulting Partners to support and spearhead the growth of their Advisory presence within the UK Insurance and Investment management marketplace.
We are looking to build the team out further and are now looking to recruit several highly talented Insurance sector specialists at Director level to join the business with particular focus and expertise in Finance function transformation. The business is highly entrepreneurial, operates with a 1 team philosophy with regards to consulting engagements and as such is naturally collaborative in nature. Culturally the business is non-political with an energised and diverse workforce who demonstrate a client centric can-do attitude.
These roles are classic client facing (CFO) Insurance sector consulting roles with the addition that you will be tasked to support scaling the existing consulting team at all levels, developing capability and competence of the existing team members and developing further the go to market proposition and solutions in line with the challenges that the CFO offices across the Insurance sector are facing now and in the future.
You will be leading / working as part of a Finance Transformation team running large scale projects, programs, and client workshops: leading, coaching and mentoring teams of Senior Managers, Consultants and Senior Consultants at varying levels of experience as well as guiding the incumbent client Finance teams through the change and Transformation program.
The Transformation practice covers both strategy and implementation in the areas of Regulatory change compliance as well as broader Finance Function change such as: Finance Target Operating Model Design, Technology and Cloud adoption, Improvements in accuracy and cost optimisation across P2P, R2R, O2C, FP&A, Systems Architecture, Chart of Accounts, General Ledger, Data Analytics.
Given the origination / sales target that these roles carry it is essential that you have a proven track record in consulting sales and can demonstrate that sales targets were attained Y O Y and furthermore you are able to demonstrate that sales were achieved with you as the originator.
To be successful, you will need extensive experience of working within a Tier 1 boutique / Big 4 consulting organisation where your focus has been supporting Insurance clients (either Life and Pensions, G.I or Speciality) in large scale Finance function transformation projects and programs.
You will need to able to demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business and industry trends in Finance change and use analytical, problem-solving techniques to break down complex issues.
It is essential that you have built a solid network of contacts within the Insurance and investment management sector, experience in managing large scale often disparate teams and a reputation for delivering quality work for clients, demonstrating an understanding of the client's professional standards, and maintaining respectful client relationships.
As an individual you need to be highly entrepreneurial, very much a natural self-starter, a pro-active team player who is genuinely passionate about building high performance teams and experienced in working in a multi-disciplined environment.
