The Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA family is looking for its future collaborator to join its regional commercial team as a Business Manager. A truly strategic position within the organization, you will lead the machine commercial activities for dealers in the UK and Ireland. You will be responsible for developing machines sales but also for coordinating the activities with all other commercial stakeholders (Marketing, Finance, RTL Finance, SIOP team and ND) in support of the achievement of annual targets.

Combining Japanese know-how with European manufacture, Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA delivers a full portfolio of state-of-the-art machines that are specially designed for a wide range of applications, including infrastructure, drainage, landscaping, demolition and civil engineering.
Tasks
- Meeting Sales Targets: Accountable to meet targets on Revenue, Profitability and Market Share for machines sales in the given territory.
- Dealer Management: Dealer Annual Targets & activity plans: be an active part of the setting of the annual targets & activity plans for the top dealers in the territory, representing machine sales. Participate, as part of the Regional commercial team in the regular business reviews with the top dealers. Monitor dealer performance regularly in relation to agreed order volume, retail sales, shipments, and market share. Identify gaps, explain the rationale, and propose gap-closing activities. Dealer orders: ensure dealers are placing regular stock orders in line with their annual BP. Retail & inventory monitoring: monitor dealer's inventory and retail sales. Ensure data in the system is a true reflection of the reality. If not, take immediate action to remediate.
- Commercial activities: Coordinate and support commercial activities throughout all commercial departments to support the achievement of the annual targets: training, dealer competences, demonstrations, customer visits, national & local fairs.
- Retail Finance: Propose and support innovative finance schemes in cooperation with Y Finance and BNP.
- Tactical campaigns: Propose and support innovative sales campaigns to support the achievement of the annual targets.
- Marketing: Annual Marketing Mix plan: Partner with Marketing department to plan proactively the regions' Marketing activities (events, social media, campaigns etc).
- Network Development: Assess coverage issues in the territory (dealer performance issues, dealer coverage issues). Work with ND and propose solutions to improve coverage through dealer improvement programs, territory extensions/reductions and/or dealer cancellations. Carry out the requirements of Network Development to identify strong and weak dealers and implement the YPP and DIP programmes. Network Development strategy: support the RBD and partner with the ND department in setting up the ND strategy for the region. Understand the AS-IS situation and be part of the design of the TO-BE.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Forecasting, Planning & Reporting: support the RD in the creation of a monthly retail & shipments forecast for the main dealers, as part of the EMEA demand planning process. MTP & Budget: support the RBD in providing market intimacy, competitive information, customer information and a vision about how to develop the business in the territory.
Requirements
- With an entrepreneurial spirit, you have a taste for challenge and the desire to surpass yourself on a daily basis.
- You have a minimum experience of 5 years in a similar position in the construction industry. A foreign experience is a plus.

- Build relationships: You can create and develop relationship with major stakeholders such as dealer's MD/SD.
- Team Working: You can work across all Y-departments to gather data and coordinate commercial activities to support dealer growth. You are an active contributor of the Regional Commercial Team (RCT).
- Business Planning/Strategic thinking: You clearly understand all commercial growth drivers. You are capable to assess business opportunities in the territory, put together a growth plan and lead its execution.
- Languages: You are fluent in English (but not necessarily a native English speaker). Additional languages are a plus.
