We're looking for an Accounts & Finance Manager to own our finances end to end; running the day-to-day accounts and delivering the monthly management reports. This is a genuine all-round finance role with real influence on how the business is run.
As the business grows, this role grows with it. Continuous improvement runs through everything we do, our systems, our processes and our people. We're looking for someone with ambition who wants to work hard and become a leading figure in our company.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day finances: bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, supplier payments, expenses
- Manage credit control & aged receivables.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and work with our external accountants on year-end and tax.
- Forecast and manage cash flow.
- Produce monthly management accounts.
- Develop profitability reporting by product, brand and sales channel using Xero, Shopify Plus and our analytics tools.
- Prepare budgets for Director approval and meet monthly with our Marketing and E-Commerce Managers to review spend, ROI and pricing.
Qualifications
- Solid double entry bookkeeping and financial administration experience.
- Ability to oversee management accounts and financial analysis confidently. Develop profitability reporting by product, brand and sales channel using Xero and Shopify.
- Experience with intercompany accounting, as the businesses has two separate limited companies
- Retail or e-commerce experience, ideally with Shopify or similar (we use A2X)
- Sharp analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- The ambition to develop into management accounts and financial analysis. This is a requirement of the role, not a nice-to-have.
