Under the direction of a qualified physician, performs imaging procedures to produce scanograms and measures concentration of radionuclides in specified body areas, according to technical and professional standards. Measures radioactive dosage prescribed for patients with a dose calibrator. Positions equipment and patients to produce diagnostic quality images. Administers pre-medication and radiopharmaceuticals. Education/In-Service Completes safety modules each year along with HIPAA notice. Work Ethics Ability to be flexible with work schedule and coordinate workflow. Patient Interaction Greet all patients following AIDET and make necessary adjustments to the exam based on the patient\’s age group. Safety Practice ALARA to maintain low radiation dose to self and others. Equipment Demonstrates competence and proficiency with all Nuclear Medicine equipment. Processing Perform all required processing procedures on the Syngo computer. Quality Control Regularly inspects and performs calibration procedures before equipment use. These are performed daily, weekly, and monthly. Qualifications Education Bachelor\’s Degree, Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Program. Experience One to two years of experience. Licensure Licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Health. Certified ARRT (N) and/or CNMT registered. CPR certification (BLS) required and ACLS preferred. Requisition ID: 142068 #J-18808-Ljbffr
