Yacht Havens Ltd is a successful family-run company managing a network of marinas across the UK and Europe. Our IT team develops and maintains internal software to support daily marina operations, customer management and financial processing.

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our expanding IT team. This role will work closely with our marina staff across the Group, while being based at either our Head Office in Lymington, or in North Fambridge, Essex.

  • Location: Head Office in Lymington, Hampshire, or North Fambridge, Essex
  • Applicants must live within commutable distance of Lymington, SO41 3QD, or CM3 6LU, Essex.
  • Reports to: IT Director
  • Closing Date: Friday 8th August 2025

We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, develop their knowledge, and enjoys working by the sea. The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education, be a strong team player with excellent customer service skills and possess a keen desire to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive IT Support: You will be expected to provide effective IT support across all aspects of the business and be responsible for maintaining the critical infrastructure that underpins our operations. Full training and support will be provided.
  • Autonomous Task Management: You will handle a large number of autonomous tasks while meeting deadlines in a relaxed and friendly working environment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: This role requires strong communication skills, a people-oriented approach, and self-motivation with a high standard of work.
  • Site Management: Overseeing all aspects of the IT infrastructure at our sites, including phones, desktop PCs, networks, virtualized PCs, and WiFi.
  • Application Support: Providing support for third-party and in-house applications to staff, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to overcome technical challenges.
  • Out-of-Hours Support: As a 24/7 business, we require support for our staff at all hours. You will be part of our on-call rota, including weekend cover.
  • With 9 marinas in the UK and the Netherlands as well as other businesses in the Group, there is an opportunity to travel to various locations. A full UK driving licence and the ability to drive are essential.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel essential.
  • A proactive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals.
  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
