We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join a prestigious luxury private resort operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior technical professional looking to take on a varied leadership role overseeing engineering, maintenance, infrastructure, asset management and capital projects across a high-end private environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team while ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance and long-term development of a substantial estate portfolio.

This role would suit an experienced Chief Engineer, Technical Manager, Facilities Manager, Estate Engineering Manager or similar professional with strong leadership abilities and a hands-on approach. We are looking for someone who is proactive, highly organised and solutions-focused, with the ability to balance day-to-day operations while also driving long-term maintenance strategies, projects and improvements. The ideal candidate will be confident leading technical teams, managing contractors and budgets, and ensuring exceptionally high standards are maintained across all areas of the operation.

The successful candidate will oversee all technical services operations, including engineering, maintenance, infrastructure, construction projects, vehicles, equipment and asset management. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge alongside excellent people management skills. You will lead and support a team of engineers, maintenance personnel and contractors, ensuring preventative maintenance programmes are implemented effectively and that all systems, facilities and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

The role will involve overseeing infrastructure systems, managing repairs and maintenance programmes, planning capital projects and renovations, monitoring budgets and ensuring assets are maintained to the highest possible standard. You will work closely with senior management, homeowners, contractors and external suppliers, providing technical expertise, project oversight and strategic recommendations to support both operational requirements and future developments.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing budgets, procurement, contract negotiations, maintenance schedules, health and safety compliance and asset management programmes, ensuring a proactive and cost-effective approach is maintained at all times.

Requirements for Application

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within engineering, technical services, facilities or maintenance management
  • Previous experience leading teams, contractors and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, infrastructure and preventative maintenance programmes
  • Experience managing budgets, procurement, contracts and compliance
  • Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
  • Strong communication, leadership and problem solving skills
  • Experience within luxury hospitality, private estates, resorts, private islands or super yachts would be highly advantageous
