Team Overview The Platform Teams are the backbone of our infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent end‑user support. Aligned with principles of robust and operationally focused teams, we support the company’s growth by leveraging our diverse technical skills. We are looking for a motivated and capable Platform Administrator to join our team. While this role sits within the support function, your primary focus will be the administration, governance, and improvement of our core technology platforms. You will act as a key escalation point for the Service Desk, taking ownership of complex technical issues and assisting with major projects like our MDM migration. This is an individual contributor role that bridges the gap between Support and Engineering, offering a blend of deep operational responsibility and the opportunity to drive technical maturity across our systems.

The Role Collaborate within a high‑performing engineering team to architect and deliver scalable AWS platforms, while simultaneously managing high‑availability, on‑premises Kubernetes clusters powered by Proxmox and Talos Linux. Ensure that all projects have a robust requirement gathering process that allows all technical areas to be involved and aware of new technical solutions to aid in the adoption and understanding of new technologies. Communicate risk and issues to appropriate team members through security and risk analysis. Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor moderately complex programs/scripts. Apply agreed standards and tools to achieve a well‑engineered result. Using Terraform/OpenTofu (IaC) create and document large scale platforms alongside other members of the team. Design and refine components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology. Support with the creation of reports, technology road mapping and sharing of insights which evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact. Define and manage scoping requirements definition and prioritisation activities for small‑scale changes and assist with more complex change initiatives. Assist in the configuration of software and equipment and the systems testing of platform‑specific versions of one or more software products. Document faults, implement resolutions and retest to agreed standards. Contribute to the availability management process and its operation and perform defined availability management tasks. Define the required behaviour and performance of the system, product or service in terms of the total user experience, resolving potential conflicts between different user requirements.
