About Y TREE

We provide our clients with total control over their personal finances, empowering them to achieve their financial and life aspirations. Harnessing sophisticated portfolio analytics, innovative behavioural psychology, and cutting‑edge UX/UI, we create revolutionary experiences and transformational outcomes. Founded in 2017 by three successful entrepreneurs with deep expertise in Technology, Corporate Advice, and Investment Management, Y TREE is backed by some of Europe's leading investors.
About the Product Team
The Product team at Y TREE is a close‑knit, highly driven group of product managers and designers. We operate with extreme focus on two core pillars: creating an incredible client experience that drives organic growth, and making our business radically more efficient by streamlining internal processes, increasing automation and reducing risk. We are fast‑paced, collaborative, and obsessed with delivering tangible value.
About the Role
As Head of Product, you will own the product vision, the roadmap and the prioritisation decisions that shape where the company invests its resources, and you will lead the product function as part of the Y TREE leadership team. You are taking ownership of an established product team with a clear vision, roadmap and prioritisation frameworks already in place. This role is about evolution: taking the product team to the next level as the business scales, rather than building from scratch. You will lead a team of nine, including product managers and designers. You will partner closely with the CTO, whose engineering team builds alongside yours, and you will work directly with every department in the business to find and unlock opportunities. Above all, this is a role built on relationships: your ability to build trust and communicate with absolute clarity across the company is what will make everything else possible. Your remit covers both of our core pillars: a world‑class client experience that drives introductions and growth, and an ever more efficient business through streamlined processes, automation and reduced risk. You will decide where we focus next, and why.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & roadmap: You will take ownership of a clear product vision and roadmap that the whole company already understands and believes in, and continually evolve them. You will make deliberate decisions about resource allocation and priorities, and connect every product decision to company outcomes.
- Prioritisation & ROI: You will own and continually refine our prioritisation frameworks, making deliberate decisions about what we build and quantifying why we said yes to one thing and no to another.
- Client experience: You will own the quality of the client experience, driving measurable improvement in the service of more introductions and faster growth.
- Operational efficiency: You will identify inefficient processes across the business and relentlessly refine them, building tools and automation that give other teams their time back and reduce operational risk.
- Product velocity & quality: You will relentlessly improve the efficiency and quality of the product development cycle itself, speeding up the velocity and raising the quality of what the team ships, including taking our AI‑native product development process to the next level.
- Measuring impact: You will continuously measure the product's impact and its effect on the rest of the company, holding the team to tangible results rather than activity.
- Leading the team: You will lead, grow and develop the product and design team, creating a culture of feedback, continuous improvement and high standards.
- Championing product: You will act as an internal champion for the product, building trust across every department, communicating clearly with every stakeholder, and making the product an indispensable partner to the whole business.
About You
- You are smart, curious, and empathetic. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment where you can hit the ground running. You are relentlessly focused on efficiency in everything you do, and you are always open to change, constantly challenging the status quo and curious about where the industry is heading.
- Proven product leadership: You have a track record in a similar Head of Product (or equivalent) role, leading product teams and owning strategy at this level. Experience in fintech, wealth management or another regulated, high‑trust environment is a strong plus, but we care more about exceptional product leadership than about your sector.
- Exceptional relationship builder & communicator: This is the non‑negotiable. You build trust effortlessly and communicate with absolute clarity, allowing you to align diverse stakeholders across every team in the business.
- Obsessed with the client: You think about the client constantly, always asking how we create the best possible experience for them.
- Strategic range: You see the big picture across the whole organisation and connect product decisions to company outcomes. You can quantify and rationalise prioritisation trade‑offs, and communicate them clearly.
- Relentlessly efficient: You are focused on efficiency in your own communication, in how you prioritise your time and the team's time, and in the processes you touch. You identify inefficiency and refine it without being asked.
- Results & impact driven: You are commercially minded and laser‑focused on results. You understand that success is measured by impact on the business, not by output.
- Genuinely curious: You challenge the status quo and stay on top of what is happening, both in fintech and wealth management and in product and software engineering more broadly. You are excited by AI‑accelerated product development and ambitious about what it can unlock.
What's in it for you?
- Impact: You will carry significant responsibility and influence over the future success of the company. You decide where we invest our time and resources, shaping both the client experience that drives our growth and the operational efficiency that lets the whole company scale.
- Innovation: Work at the cutting edge of product management, actively using AI and modern tooling to redefine how we build and operate.
- Culture: A collaborative environment where accountability, rapid delivery, and empathy for the user are celebrated.
- Benefits: Private medical care, including gym membership and mental health/wellbeing services. 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays. Enhanced family‑friendly policies, electric car schemes, professional qualification support, and Equity.
