We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Finance to join our London business. As we commence our journey in the UK, the scope is open to really enhance your career development and be part of the business from the start. As a Head of Finance at the UK office, you will bridge the gap between Group strategy and the UK real estate market, sourcing high-value M&A opportunities and securing optimal capital structures (senior debt, JV equity, and mezzanine). You will manage the full transaction lifecycle, from initial valuation and risk assessment to negotiation and closing, while cultivating a robust network of European financial institutions and advisors. By monitoring market intelligence and optimizing post-investment performance, you ensure all financing and acquisition activities maximize capital efficiency and align with the Group’s long-term funding goals.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
- Strategic Alignment & Execution: Align the Group’s overall strategy, funding plan and investment pace with the UK financing landscape, regulatory environment and M&A opportunities, ensuring all financing and M&A activities are consistent with and executable under the Group strategy.
- Local Financing Opportunity Identification: Develop a deep understanding of the UK and European real estate finance ecosystem, proactively source financing opportunities from banks, development lenders, private equity funds, family offices and other institutions, and design optimal capital structures (senior debt, mezzanine, JV equity, forward funding) to secure the most favourable terms and costs.
- M&A Sourcing & Transaction Structuring: Identify M&A opportunities in the UK real estate market, including asset acquisitions, equity purchases, platform acquisitions and distressed assets; conduct initial screening, valuation analysis and transaction structure design (SPV, tax, financing layers), and drive internal project approval.
- Resource Integration & External Relationship Management: Act as the Group’s key capital and transaction liaison in the UK; build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, investment banks, M&A advisors, law firms, accounting firms, valuation companies and other key partners to form a stable support network for financing and M&A. Continuously monitor the UK real estate market, interest rate trends, regulatory changes, investor preferences, M&A trends and competitor activities, produce systematic market intelligence, and provide forward-looking insights for the Group.
- Risk Identification & Structured Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk reviews for financing proposals and M&A transactions, covering legal, tax, compliance, market, liquidity and counterparty risks; identify potential risks in advance and propose mitigation strategies to ensure robust decision-making. Act as a communication bridge between the Group headquarters and the UK team; drive the full process of financing and M&A projects including due diligence, term negotiation, internal approvals, signing and closing, ensuring transparency and aligned execution.
- Capital Structure Optimization & Post-Investment Management: Continuously optimize capital structure post-completion (refinancing, new equity introduction, exit arrangements) and monitor post-investment performance to maximize capital efficiency.
