Role Title:Bid WriterBusiness Unit: Oak FacadesLocation: Uxbridge or LeicesterRole OverviewThe Façade Bid Writer is responsible for producing high-quality, persuasive, andcompliant tender submissions for façade, cladding, and building envelopeprojects across both new build and remediation/recladding sectors. Workingclosely with the Pre-Construction, Technical, Design, Commercial, and Operationsteams, the role involves developing compelling bid responses that clearlycommunicate the company's expertise, delivery capability, quality standards, andvalue proposition to clients.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead the preparation and submission of PQQs, SQs, RFIs, ITTs, and tenderproposals for façade and remediation projects.
- Review and analyse tender documentation to identify key requirements, risks,opportunities, and win themes.
- Produce engaging and technically accurate written responses tailored toclient requirements.
- Coordinate information from estimating, design, commercial, HSEQ, projectdelivery, and supply chain teams to create comprehensive submissions.
- Develop and maintain a library of bid content, case studies, CVs, projectprofiles, and supporting evidence.
- Ensure all submissions are compliant with client specifications, qualitystandards, and submission requirements.
- Highlight the company's expertise in façade systems, remediation works,recladding solutions, fire safety improvements, and building envelopeperformance.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to articulate constructionmethodology, project phasing, resident liaison strategies, and riskmitigation measures.
- Support bid strategy meetings and contribute to identifying keydifferentiators and winning messages.
- Maintain consistency in branding, presentation, and quality across all tenderdocuments.
- Coordinate responses relating to sustainability, social value, health andsafety, quality assurance, and environmental management.
- Monitor bid deadlines and manage submission programmes to ensure alldeliverables are completed on time.
- Produce high-scoring, client-focused tender submissions.
- Support the successful conversion of tender opportunities into securedprojects.
- Enhance the company's reputation as a leading specialist contractor in façadenew build, remediation, and recladding works.
- Continuously improve bid content, processes, and submission quality tomaximise win rates
About You:
- Previous experience as a Bid Writer within the construction, façade,cladding, or building envelope sector.
- Strong understanding of façade systems, remediation programmes, recladdingprojects, and fire compliance requirements.
- Excellent written communication and document management skills.
- Ability to translate technical information into clear and compellingclient-focused responses.
- Experience working within pre-construction and tendering environments.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple submissionssimultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common bid management software.
