The Opportunity
We're looking for a sharp, commercially minded Head of FP&A to be the analytical engine behind our financial decision-making. Reporting into the VP of Finance, you'll work closely together on financial planning, forecasting, and reporting while also having meaningful direct exposure to the CFO on board reporting, fundraising, and strategic initiatives. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role. You'll sit at the intersection of finance and the broader business, partnering with leadership across product, sales, and operations to translate business activity into financial insight, and financial insight into action.
Responsibilities
- Own the annual budget, 3-month rolling forecasts, quarterly full re-forecasts and 5-year long-range model - keeping them accurate, dynamic, and decision-ready.
- Work closely with the VP of Finance to align financial planning with operational priorities and ensure consistency across reporting.
- Build and maintain the financial infrastructure: dashboards, KPI tracking, and reporting that gives leadership real-time visibility into performance.
- Partner with go-to-market, product, and operations teams to develop business cases, pricing models, and commissioning analysis.
- Lead the monthly close commentary and board/investor reporting, with direct input to and interaction with the CFO on key outputs.
- Develop cohort analysis, ACV/TCV reporting, and other actionable insights that give the business a clear view of growth, retention, and efficiency.
- Support fundraising and strategic initiatives with financial modelling, scenario analysis, and data room preparation - presenting findings directly to the CFO where required.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the P&L and proactively surface recommendations to the VP of Finance and CFO.
- Improve financial processes and tooling as we scale - you'll have real ownership here.
- Work closely with the VP of Finance and CFO on the ongoing US expansion.
- Support the wider finance team on key tasks during month end P&L close and balance sheet reconciliations as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5-8 years of FP&A experience, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or construction tech environment.
- Strong financial modelling skills - you can build from a blank sheet and stress-test your own assumptions.
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics: ACV, TCV, churn, LTV, CAC, NRR, and the levers that drive them.
- Comfortable working within a finance leadership structure, with the confidence to engage directly with C-suite stakeholders when needed.
- Comfortable operating independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communicator who can distil complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives for non-finance stakeholders.
- Hands-on with financial tools: advanced Excel, and familiarity with BI tools.
- Experience with Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or comparable ERP is a plus.
- A genuine interest in the built environment, construction, or infrastructure technology sector.
Benefits
- 25 days annual leave + public holidays
- Private healthcare with Vitality
- Christmas shutdown days on top of leave allowance (2-4 per year usually)
- Office located within a 5-minute walk from Angel station
- Hybrid working
- Biannual salary reviews
- Summer & Christmas staff parties
- Free lunch bought in and after-work gathering/drinks every Thursday in the office
- Make a real-world impact of revolutionising the construction industry
