We are looking for a Junior Electromechanical Assembly Technician to join our growing Production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop hands‑on technical skills within a fast‑paced technology and manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Production Director, you will support the assembly, testing and preparation of our Augmented Reality devices, working closely with the Production, Quality, Hardware and Software teams. This role would suit someone with a keen interest in technology, electronics, assembly or engineering, who enjoys practical work and has strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the assembly of XYZ Reality’s Augmented Reality devices and associated equipment
  • Follow assembly procedures and work instructions accurately and consistently
  • Carry out basic testing, inspections and quality checks during assembly
  • Assist with software and firmware installation processes
  • Help maintain accurate stock and inventory records
  • Ensure tools, workstations and equipment are maintained in an organised condition
  • Support troubleshooting and rework activities under guidance from senior technicians
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering and Quality teams
  • Assist with continuous improvement activities within the production process
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality and safety

Experience & Skills Required

  • An interest in electronics, technology, engineering or manufacturing
  • Good practical hands‑on skills and attention to detail
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Basic IT skills and confidence using software systems
  • Ability to follow instructions and assembly procedures carefully
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing or technical experience desirable but not essential
  • Relevant college qualification, apprenticeship or hobbyist experience beneficial
