Location: Bacup, Lancashire

Salary: £13.00 to £13.50 per hour (depending on Level 3 qualification) + £50.00 per sleep-in night. £32,229 to £33,238 per annum (including sleeps).

Hours: 38.8 hours per week average (2-on 4-off shift pattern, 8am start)

About Our Home

Our homes are warm, welcoming, and set to a high-specification in a semi-rural part of Bacup, Lancashire. Featuring a private young person's space, communal lounge, modern kitchen, and an outdoor area, they offer a calm, low-arousal sanctuary away from external risks.

The Role: What you'll be doing

We'll need an active advocate, a positive role model, and someone who wants to be the daily inspiration for a vulnerable young person.

Your day-to-day as a Residential Care Worker will involve:

  • Nurturing Aspiration: Creating an upbeat, fun environment where you plan real-world tasks, menu building, and life-skills development.
  • Collaborative Support: Working alongside our specialist outdoor instructors, education coordinators, and social workers to deliver bespoke care plans.
  • Operational Standards: Maintaining digital daily logs, clearing up, cooking healthy meals, and managing challenging behaviours with a calm head.

Your Experience and Qualifications

Essential:

  • The Background: Proven experience as a Residential Care Worker or a deep personal drive to enter the children's sector.
  • The Skills: Inquisitive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to write clear reports and adapt to digital logging platforms.
  • The Personality: Naturally outgoing, open-minded, and highly resilient when navigating real-world, complex behaviours.
  • Logistics: Full UK driving licence, right to work in the UK, and a willingness to complete an application form and undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications: Already hold an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or an equivalent health and social care qualification.

Your Package and Perks
