To lead the design, development, and technical support of packaged water technology products in the UK market, ensuring performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability. This role combines hands-on engineering design with cross-functional collaboration and digital integration to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Duties And Responsibilities- Responsible for design and development of UK packaged products to meet performance, cost, and reliability targets, including prototyping, testing and validation.
- Create 3D and 2D models using CAD software (Creo) as well as produce BIM (Building Information Modelling) files.
- Assist with creation of BOM and IOM.
- Be the WindChill Organisational Administrator for AW UK&I.
- Advise local production on assembly and testing of packages.
- Lead the integration of digital platforms and control solutions into our portfolio of packaged products.
- Provide technical support to AW UK Procurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e., marketing, product management, AED) locally and in our manufacturing plants.
- Assist AW UK Compliance Engineer when necessary.
- Assess the viability of CTO / ETO customer requests of packaged systems.
- Explore potential improvements to internal processes and procedures within AW UK.
- Any other duties required by business unit management.
- Must be proficient with CAD software (Creo) and have a good understanding of Windows-based computer programs.
- Experience with ERP and PLM systems (BPCS, SAP, WindChill).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials as well as PLC programming and coding.
- Electrical installation and wiring experience, preferably 18th edition qualified.
- Collaborative mindset, flexibility and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Engineering or equivalent qualification to degree level or experience that would compensate that level of expertise.
- Full driving license.
