Housed in a stunning Grade II listed building, The Arding Rooms is Clapham’s first Private Members’ Club – designed to feel like a second home, not a scene. Just a vibrant mix of creatives, freelancers, founders and locals who love good food, good company and good vibes. We have a stunning event space, which hosts a range of corporate and social events for our members and external clients. The kitchen team work closely with our events team to provide bespoke catering packages for these events. Our menus are seasonal, local, and simple – with an ethical, ingredient‑led approach. From relaxed weekday lunches to lively weekend brunches, we want food that feels honest, beautiful, and full of soul.
We are looking for an accomplished Sous Chef to join our amazing kitchen team on a permanent basis. Ideally you can start mid‑January.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen leadership
- Helping design and execute fresh, exciting menus
- Leading the team during busy services and keeping things running smoothly
- Training and mentoring junior chefs
- Managing orders, stock and costs efficiently
- Ensuring the kitchen meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety
The Club operates full service 7 days a week.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a quality‑led kitchen
- Is passionate about flavour, freshness, and beautiful presentation
- Loves creating a calm, positive environment for the team
